Tree Tools To Make Your Garden Look Awesome

Cutting or trimming trees is not an easy work since this is very risky and might endanger the life of the person doing the job. This, if he is not trained enough to do the cutting or is not equipped with the right tree tools for the specific work.

Before cutting or trimming trees, the right tree tools should be readily available. These are the tools that are suited in a particular cutting work.

Cutting trees involves climbing hence the person doing the job must invest on different kinds of climbing ropes.

Ropes come in different sizes and the right size depends on the weight of the person and the thickness of the tree parts that needed to be cut.

When buying ropes, choose those that are made from the strongest materials, like nylon, polyester and fibers, which are tested and certified to be safe even for heavy-duty outdoor use. The climbing ropes must be resistant to sunlight and abrasion. It should also withstand any common chemicals. Using low quality ropes may cause accidents.

Some ropes are coated with urethane which makes it resistant to abrasion while some are made to be shock absorbent.

Aside from ropes, other tree tools needed include rigging gears, the right climbing clothes and other accessories.

Among the rigging gears needed are snap hooks, single or double pulleys, quick link, single or double pulley ascender, wire or screw gate, single up to triple lock carabiner, double or single swivel, hook auto lock, a carabiner eye and a forged ring. You might also need a steel rigging knife for emergency cutting work.

In choosing rigging gears, consider those that are made from stainless steel which are more durable and won’t get rust easily.

The kinds of pulleys available depend on the sizes of the ropes to be used. Some pulleys can accommodate ropes as thick as 16mm.
Other accessories needed are chains, lanyard, a rope back pack, a throw bag, tree sling and adjustable chain sling.

But the most important tree tools you need to have are climbing gloves, a work helmet and the right clothes that are comfortable to wear. Climbing a tree is definitely not comfortable when you’re wearing tight pants and long sleeve polo!

Cutting or trimming trees can be so much fun and easy if you use the right tree tools, particularly the correct clothes. Just remember that safety is the most important aspect of any garden work.
