If you still don’t know what tools to use for your cutting job, try axes and hatchets.
Axes are tree cutting tools that can give precise cutting for different kinds of trees. They come in different sizes, depending on the size and the thickness of the branches of trees to be cut.

thin blades and long handles that allow you to chop tree parts with ease. These types of axes can be used to cut small sticks.
If you plan to chop off a felled tree, then use a forest axe for a thin or curved cut. Or if you are still planning to fell a tree, use an American style felling axe with long handle and heavier head. For splitting wood, use a splitting axe which comes with a heavy head and forged blade cheeks. This type of axe slices and pushes the wood apart.
For large chunks of wood, use a splitting maul with a heavy head and a much wider cheek which can cut the wood easily.
Chopping wood will also be easy with the hunter’s axe with circular groove handle that provides a strong grip even if your hands are wet.
Carpenter’s axes are also good tree cutting tools with straight edges and thin blades, which are good for cutting dry wood. This type of axe works like a heavy knife while the axe’s poll can be used as a hammer.
For a continuous cutting job, use a boy’s axe, which is much lighter than ordinary axes.
When buying an axe, check for the quality and make sure that the handles are tightly secured to the heads to prevent possible accident. Once the handle is not tightly attached, the head might accidentally throw off and hit you or anyone.
But if you are not comfortable with axes, you can use hatchets.
For small cuts, consider using a mini hatchet. And for quick cutting works, use a wedge hatchet with lighter head. This type of hatchet is also good for pounding wedges.
For a precise cutting work even while you’re up in the tree, consider using a lightweight hatchet with shock-absorbing handle. This type of hatchet can surely free you from fatigue even with heavy-duty cutting.

There are many tree cutting tools available in the market. It’s up for you to choose what to use depending on the work you have to do. Just be sure to choose tree cutting tools that are durable and can provide quality cutting work with less stress and fatigue.
