I have written on this before but it is that time of year again… Your
students first visit home. Whether it is for Fall break or
Thanksgiving… It is going to happen and parents and students need to
prepare for some change. Talking about expectations before the visit
can make a big difference.
Curfew? House Rules? Family Time? A calm, simple discussion can set
you up for success. So, do not delay or ignore talking about what you
expect and listen to what they expect. Find a happy ground so when
your student returns to school, everyone feels good about the visit.
