Looking Overseas for Work

Many college graduates are looking overseas for work upon graduation and if they are not, they should, even if it is the unpaid type of work.
Organizations that recruit volunteers for overseas work have seen an increase in applications.  For example, the Peace Corp has seen a 16% increase in applications.  This is happening not only in the states but other countries such as Canada.
I have often encouraged students to get volunteer experience during their college years.  For those that never took advantage of the Spring Breaks and Summer Breaks for volunteer activities, then now may be the time.  When jobs are competitive, building a decent resume becomes imperative.  Volunteer work looks good on a resume and it is good for the young adult to think outside themselves.
So looking abroad may be a good solution for graduates that are in a quandary as they begin to cope with a tough economic climate. For more info, pls contact us at http://collegeworks101.com
