Students start dreaming of that day when they move off campus and get their own apartment.  Students have difficulty with dorm life because most dorms have a lot of activity going on.  Also there is very little control over roommates and suite mates.

There are many pluses to living on campus and I support all freshman living on campus so they become part of the college community. There is a lot going on and living on campus encourages students to meet new people.
College Students are safest on campus.  Although crimes do occur, the statistics still support that your student is safer on campus.
